A critical component of Delta Development’s advanced System of Systems, the TBS 40L (Total Blood System) is engineered to overcome major challenges of blood management in military operations to include the need for rugged, reliable transport during enroute care, effective battlefield distribution, and the limitations of long-term blood storage. Purpose-built for the storage and transport of large volumes of blood from CONUS into OCONUS military theater, the TBS 40L maintains a stable temperature of 2–6°C for up to 10 days using battery power alone—no ice or water required. Its ability to condition and maintain PCM ice packs, when needed, for smaller transportable Delta coolers in far forward applications, further enhances readiness and supports lifesaving whole blood transfusions at the point of injury.

VOLUME BLOOD READINESS FOR DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

EASILY TRANSPORTED IN SUPERVISOR OR EMERGENCY VEHICLE

STATIONABLE AT ANY CENTRAL COMMAND HUB FOR EASY DISTRIBUTION

RAPID DEPLOYMENT OF BLOOD FROM TBS TO ICE2L/APRU TO TRAUMA PATIENTS

Blood is a critical component of mass-casualty and disaster preparedness, with the TBS 40L and BloodCOMM® serving as central command hubs for rapid deployment and effective incident management. The TBS 40L provides a mobile, high-capacity blood refrigeration platform that allows agencies to establish forward blood banks and significantly increase transfusion capability in emergency situations.

Complementing this, BloodCOMM® Premium delivers real-time visibility and control by tracking inventory, monitoring system readiness, and maintaining full chain-of-custody accountability with continuous temperature oversight and compliance alerts. Blood seamlessly transfers from the TBS into either the Delta ICE 2L or APRU 6L for greater portability enabling safe and efficient delivery of blood to trauma patients. Designed for austere, resource-constrained environments, the system runs on extended battery power for up to 10 days, supporting scalable logistics, preparedness, and operational readiness.

The TBS will be commercially available fall of 2026. Please reach out using the button below to learn more or request a quote.
