Why Cerakote for the APRU?

Delta Development uses the specialized heat transfer coating C-187 supplied by the US manufacturer NIC.

It provides better radiative heat transfer than regular powder coating and it is a thinner layer of material that does not insulate the heat sink like powder coating improving convection on the heatsink fins.

C-187 is also very durable and hard surface that resists corrosion, even when exposed to salt water.

This means the APRU will run cooler, requiring less battery energy to run the refrigeration system.

This is just one of the ways the APRU is able to attain the long duration battery life and not be damaged in extreme environments.
