Delta has acquired a Carbide 3D Shapeoko CNC router and we’ve already begun using it to build molds for insulating our refrigerators. A CNC (computer numerical control) router is a computer-controlled cutting machine used for cutting various hard materials. It helps to reduce the time spent in production and the frequency of errors, making it a very effective tool. We worked with Hawk Ridge Systems to develop a custom Post Processor to make Solidworks CAM work with the Shapeoko, allowing us to take parts straight from CAD to our router.
