Led by the Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN), Arizona Tech Investors, and Desert Angels, Delta Development Team’s (DDT) latest $5 million Series A3 funding round has been a great success, supporting the company’s mission to revolutionize emergency medical care. This investment is helping Delta accelerate production, enhance its life-saving technology, and expand its impact in trauma care.
Delta Development is transforming how blood transfusions are delivered in critical emergencies. Traditionally, patients with severe injuries must be transported to a hospital for transfusions—often losing valuable time. Delta’s prehospital blood management system changes this by equipping first responders and military medics with battery-powered medical refrigerators that can store blood for up to five days on a single charge, the longest-lasting of its kind. The system also features smart monitoring technology and NIST-traceable sensors to ensure temperature accuracy, improving the chances of survival for trauma patients.
CTAN, one of the largest and most active angel investing networks in the U.S., saw the potential of Delta’s groundbreaking technology. Laurie Cercone, a member of CTAN’s Deal Team, emphasized the alignment between Delta’s mission and CTAN’s commitment to investing in companies that make a real impact. “Delta Development’s innovative approach to solving critical challenges in emergency care aligns with the impactful companies CTAN aims to support,” said Cercone.
With this new funding, Delta plans to scale production, finalize product development, and introduce new innovations in 2025. CEO Monti Leija highlighted how this investment will help the company further its mission of saving lives through cutting-edge medical technology.
Since its founding, Delta has secured $3.8 million in SBIR funding and generated nearly $5 million in revenue as of 2024. With CTAN’s backing, Delta is set to redefine emergency care and equip more first responders with the tools they need to save lives.
As CTAN continues to invest in high-impact startups, its support for Delta Development reinforces its commitment to fostering innovation in life-saving medical technology.
