Bridgeport Hospital Foundation has made a $40,000 investment to strengthen its prehospital blood transfusion program, equipping EMS partners with upgraded coolers that support the DDT prehospital blood management system. This technology enhances real‑time temperature tracking and chain‑of‑custody monitoring, ensuring every unit of blood remains safe and clinically viable from the hospital to the field.

By combining advanced blood‑management tools with strong regional EMS collaboration, Bridgeport Hospital is elevating the standard of emergency care and delivering critical treatment when and where it’s needed most.
